Description of the training

This training enables participants to acquire the skills and knowledge needed to design, implement, migrate, manage and operate databases in AWS, with an in-depth understanding of the various database services offered by AWS.

Introduction to AWS databases and architecture design

• Overview of AWS database services: RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Redshift, ElastiCache. Practical workshop: Create an RDS database and DynamoDB instance.

Database migration and performance management

• Migration of local databases to AWS with AWS DMS and AWS SCT. Practical workshop: Migrating a local MySQL database to RDS with DMS.
• Optimizing the performance of AWS databases. Practical workshop: Using Performance Insights to analyze the performance of an RDS database.

Security, Management and Test Preparation

• Secure databases with IAM and KMS. Practical workshop: Configure security policies and data encryption in RDS.
• Database management and preparation for the AWS Certified Database – Specialty exam. Review and blank exam to assess the knowledge acquired.
